A Comprehensive Curriculum for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers
Philosophy of the Curriculum:
- The series covers all educational stages.
- It is prepared according to modern global quality standards in teaching languages to non-native speakers.

Objectives and Components of the Series:
- The series aims to enable learners to communicate verbally and in writing in Arabic.
- It is targeted at basic education from kindergarten to the twelfth grade for non-native Arabic speakers.
- Each stage consists of three books:
- Student's Book
- Workbook
- Teacher's Guide
- In addition to audiovisual aids, including:
- Flashcards and posters
- Bilingual dictionary
Time Allocated for Teaching the Series:
Each stage's books are taught over approximately 100 sessions (each session = 40 minutes) per level, distributed as follows:
- 75 sessions for the Student's Book.
- 25 sessions for the Workbook.
Cultural Content:
Presenting aspects of Arab-Islamic culture in an appealing and engaging manner for children of this age, as well as providing elements of general culture common among children.
Linguistic Content:
- Introducing the phonetic system of Arabic with its various features.
- Providing vocabulary derived from a child's lexicon.
- Supplying basic grammatical structures to children and students.
Methods of Presenting Educational Material:
- The series employs diverse methods such as stories, songs, dialogues, language games, and entertainment.
- It includes various linguistic exercises that are suitable for children.
- Each book in the series contains several assessments to evaluate and measure the student's progress in learning the language, with an assessment after each unit.
Integration of Language Skills:
The series addresses the four main language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—in an integrated and balanced manner, with special attention to speaking, listening comprehension, expression, reading, and writing.
Illustrated Dictionary:
Each book in the series includes an illustrated dictionary at the end of the book.
Vocabulary List:
At the end of each book, there is a list containing all the vocabulary introduced in the book, along with an Arabic-English dictionary for children and an English-Arabic glossary.
Kindergarten Stage (4-5 years) and Preparatory Stage (5-6 years): Key Features of the Curriculum:
- Emphasis on simplicity, gradual progression, ease of implementation, addressing the child's emotions, stimulating their imagination, and fostering innovation and creativity.
- Providing linguistic material that enables the child to communicate verbally.
- Adopting the latest educational methods in teaching children.
- Training on pencil control.
- Developing the child's thinking skills.
- Practicing motor skills in writing.
تعريف بالكتاب:
الكتاب.... موجه للأطفال في مرحلة الروضة، وقد روعي فيه البساطة، ومخاطبة وجدان الطفل وتنمية روح الابتكار والإبداع، وهو يتبنىعرض الحروف من خلال مجموعات متشابهة في الشكل وفي طريقة الكتابة، وذلك للتيسير على الطفل، مع العناية بقراءتها بالترتيب الألفبائي- من أن لآخر - كلما توفر عدد من الحروف المتتابعة... وهكذا حتى تكتمل في آخر الكتاب.
من أنشطة الكتاب التعليمية:
- التدريب على التحكم في الإمساك بالقلم.
- الاتجاه في الكتابة من اليمين إلى اليسار.
- التدريب على كتابة الحروف بالإعادة فوق النقط التدريب على قراءة الحروف بالترتيب الألفبائي بطريقة متدرجة.
- الربط بين الحرف والصورة الدالة عليه.
- التدريب على وضع النقط على الحروف المنقوطة .
- قراءة الحروف ذات الفراغات وكتابتها.
- التدريب على قراءة كلمات تحتوى على المد بالألف والواو والياء.
- الاهتداء بصورة الكلمة عند كتابة الحرف الذي تبدأ به.
