A Comprehensive Curriculum for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers
Philosophy of the Curriculum:
- The series encompasses all educational stages.
- It is developed according to modern global quality standards in language education for non-native speakers.
- The series should provide a curriculum that imparts essential skills to learners.
- It offers a curriculum that is appealing to learners who are not native speakers.
- The series provides a curriculum that does not rely on a mediator language.
Series Objectives and Components:
- The series aims to enable learners to communicate orally and in writing in Arabic.
- It is directed towards basic education from kindergarten to twelfth grade for non-Arabic speakers.
- Each stage consists of three books:
- Student's Book
- Workbook
- Teacher's Guide
- In addition to audiovisual aids, including:
- Flashcards and posters
- Audio recordings
- Bilingual dictionary
Time Allocated for Teaching the Series:
- Each stage's books are taught over approximately 100 sessions (each session = 40 minutes) per level, distributed as follows:
- 75 sessions for the Student's Book.
- 25 sessions for the Workbook.
Cultural Content:
- Introducing patterns of Arab-Islamic culture in an engaging and appealing manner for children at this age, while also providing elements of general culture shared among children.
Linguistic Content:
- Introduction to the Arabic phonetic system with its different phenomena.
- Providing vocabulary drawn from the child's lexicon.
- Equipping the child and student with a number of basic grammatical structures.
Presentation Methods:
- Various methods are used in the series such as: stories, songs, chants, dialogues, and language games and entertainment.
- The series includes different types of language exercises suitable for children.
- Each book in the series contains several assessments to evaluate and measure the student's progress in learning the language, with an assessment after each unit.
Integration of Language Skills:
- The series addresses the four main language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—in an integrated and balanced manner, with special attention to speaking, listening comprehension, expression, reading, and writing.
Illustrated Dictionary:
- Each book in the series includes an illustrated dictionary at the end of the book.
Vocabulary List:
- At the end of each book, there is a list containing all the vocabulary introduced in the book, along with an Arabic-English dictionary for children and an English-Arabic glossary.
Elementary Stage - Sixth Grade (Level Six):

اهداف السلسلة ومكوناتها:

تهدف السلسلة إلى تمكين الدارس من االتصال الشفهي والتحريري باللغة العربية

والسلسلة موجهة للتعليم األساسي من رياض األطفال حتى الصف الثاني عشر من غير الناطقين بالعربية
وتتألف كل مرحلة من ثلاثة كتب هي:

بالإضافة إلى الوسائل السمعية والبصرية التي تتضمن:

البطاقات واللوحات.

التسجيلات الصوتية.

القاموس ثنائي اللغة.
الزمن المخصص لتدريس السلسلة: يتم تدريس كتب كل مرحلة في نحو 100 حصة (الحصة = 40 دقيقة) لكل مستوى توزع كاآلتي

25 حصة لكتاب التدريبات.
المحتوى الثقافي:
تقديم أنماط من الثقافة العربية الإسلامية بأسلوب جذاب وشائق للطفل في هذه السن، كما تمده بألوان من الثقافة العامة المشتركة بين الأطفال
المحتوى اللغوي:.

تقديم النظام الصوتي للعربية بظواهره المختلفة.

تقديم مفردات تستمد من قاموس الطفل.

إمداد الطفل والطالب بعدد من التراكيب النحوية الأساسية
أساليب عرض المادة التعليمية:

استخدمت في السلسلة أساليب متنوعة مثل: القصص والأناشيد والأغاني والحوارات والألعاب اللغوية والتسلية

وتحتوي السلسلة على أنواع مختلفة من التدريبات اللغوية التي تلائم الطفل

شتمل كل كتاب من كتب السلسلة على عدد من الاختبارات للتقويم، وقياس تقدم الطالب في تعلّم اللغة، ويرد الاختبار بعد كل وحدة
التكامل بين المهارات اللغوية:
تتناول السلسلة المهارات اللغوية الرئيسية الأربع من استماع وكلام وقراءة وكتابة بطريقة متكاملة ومتوازنة، مع توجيه عناية خاصة للكلام وفَهم المسموع والتعبير والقراءة والكتابة

يحتوي كل كتاب من كتب السلسلة على قاموس مصور يرد في نهاية الكتاب
قائمة المفردات:
توجد قائمة في آخر كل كتاب تحتوي على جميع المفردات التي قدمت في كل كتاب. بالإضافة إلى قاموس عربي إنجليزي للأطفال مع مسرد انجليزي عربي
المرحلة الابتدائية - الصف السادس (المستوى السادس)
أولاً: مهارات القراءة من خلال موضوعات مستمدة من البيئة مثل الحكايات المحببة للطفل
ثانيًا: القراءة الموسعة «كتاب النشاط» قصص
ثالثـًا: التراكيب النحوية مثل الجملة الأسمية والجملة الفعلية والاسم.
